A conference on world global leadership recently took place in USA, with the global objective of making this world safe and better. Participants were drilled on global leadership as a solution to the world’s greatest challenges. Among these participants, was the C.E.O of BIHAPH, Mme Dighambong Bibiana, representing the Association. It is worth noting here that education is the continuous manuring of the mind, for better output, at the service of the people.

Putting an end to extreme poverty requires providing opportunities for all individuals, especially women, to thrive through Agriculture, education, nutrition, and health. In order to achieve this goal, a greater emphasis must be placed on gender equality and the removal of barriers that disproportionately affect women.
A great deal of progress has been made in the fight against poverty, particularly since the adoption of the U.N. Millennium Development Goals, or MDGs, in 2001. From 1990 through 2008, the number of people worldwide living in extreme poverty fell by more than 800 million. Yet barriers to prosperity still remain—such as inequality and discrimination against marginalized populations—and new challenges continue to emerge that impede goals to reduce poverty.

The Bihndumlem Humanitarian Association of Hope and Peace that was created to bridge the gap between the privileged and the less privileged of our society, recently sent forth the pioneer beneficiary of the association’s entrepreneurial empowerment scheme for teenage mothers.
